We have a fun week in store!
This Monday marks the student's 100th day of school! We will be celebrating their achievement with a variety of fun 100th day activities! This Friday is Pride Day and Buck-A-Swean and Jersey Day. For $5 the students may wear appropriate sweatpants or jeans to school as well as their favorite sports jersey. The money will go to support the 8th grade mission trip. Here is what we have planned this week: Reading - We will have our Unit Assessment Monday. We also begin our new lesson about "testing ideas". We will read the stories Dear Mr. Blueberry and What is Science? Our sound this week is /i/ and the kiddos will be introduced to 6 new high frequency words: is, of, so, many, what, and how. In writing we'll learn about question words and question marks. Religion - This week we begin a lesson about forgiveness. We'll talk about God's forgiveness and what it means to forgive others. Math - This week there is an assessment on last weeks chapter, comparing sets. We'll move into ordinal numbers (first, second, third, etc.) next. Reach out with any questions. Mrs. Zander
