Literacy: This week we will hear the story Mice Squeak, We Speak and Amelia's Show and Tell. Our high frequency word is "we" and the students will focus on the sound /t/ after meeting Timmy Tiger. In our writing workshop, we'll practice using sensory words! Our class will continue to strengthen their understanding of how words are broken into smaller sounds as we establish a strong foundation to prepare for reading!
Math: We continue to build on our concept of composing and decomposing numbers. This is a skill we want the children to have a strong foundation in when they head off to first. It will help them immensely when they move onto composing and decomposing larger numbers!
Religion: This week we continue our Creation lesson. Last week we searched for signs of God's creation gifts around our school campus. This week we will dive in deeper on how we can show our love to God.
Social Studies and Science: We will focus on discovery and have some fun experimenting with the concept of sink and float!
Thank you to the room moms and parents that helped out last Friday with our first community service event. The students had a lot of fun and made some beautiful creations. Pictures to come.
