Welcome back! We are now on the final stretch. With May upon us and four weeks left, this next month is sure to be a busy but fun one! I hope that everyone enjoyed our 80's event this past Saturday! Thank you for helping make it a success. This week has a lot in store: Literacy: We begin a new chapter about "getting help". The students will hear the stories The Little Engine that Could and You Can Do It, Curious George! We'll focus on /v/ and /z/ and our words include are look, out, very, their, saw, and put. We have our spelling test This Friday. Words and one sentence were sent home last week (went, sent, walk, talk, ask, mask; They went on a walk.) Math - This week we start a new lesson in math on money. The students will be introduces to the term "cents" and identify various coins and their value. Eventually we'll apply our knowledge of adding and subtracting and practice with cents. Religion: This past Sunday was Divine Mercy Sunday, so we will discuss the important day in our faith. May is the month of Mary and with Mother's Day around the corner, we'll focus on learning more about our Holy Mother and celebrate our own moms too! A few other fun items...
