Literacy: This week we will hear the story Mice Squeak, We Speak and Amelia's Show and Tell. Our high frequency word is "we" and the students will focus on the sound /t/ after meeting Timmy Tiger. In our writing workshop, the student continue to practice using sensory words and we'll take a fun fall nature walk using our senses to help inspire our writing! Our class will continue to strengthen their understanding of how words are broken into smaller sounds as we establish a strong foundation to prepare for reading!
Math: This week we will put all our math lessons to fun use in a variety of centers! The students will have an opportunity to apply their counting, sequencing, and sorting knowledge in small groups and are sure to have a good time!
Religion: This week we talk about sin. We will revisit the story of Adam and Eve, as well as the 10 Commandments and better understand God's greatest gift of love: His forgiveness!
Social Studies and Science: We will learn all about Christopher Columbus this week and have some fun experimenting with the concept of sink and float!
