Another fun week...
Literacy: This week our readings will focus on the sky and earth science. In prereation for our unit assessment we will be doing a lot of reviewing this week. We will review all our sight words from this unit (come, me, with, my, you what, are, now), as well as out letter sounds (a,c, f, m, n, p, s, t). We continue to listen for medial sounds in words and blending. Another area of focus is capitalization and punctuation and the students will edit sentences correcting errors in both.
Math: We will have a sequence and order assessment this week. Next, we move into a new chapter focusing on calendar details. Students will order the 12 months and days of the week. We will test on these concepts at the end of the week too.
Religion: This week's topic is a favorite...Miracles of Jesus! The students will hear some of the early miracles and create some pieces to share these wonderful stories at home.
Social Studies: With Martin Luther King Jr. day around the corner, we will read a few books and dicuss what it means to have a dream! We will have a fun art project to go along with all the learning!
Remember to check out the January snack calendar for the month!
Thank you and have a great week....I know we will in K2:)
