,I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! Literacy: After spending last week reviewing we, are ready to jump back in and learn 6 new words: make, them, give, play, say, & new. We will also focus on the letter "o" and listen for the long and short sounds in words. Our theme this week is social relationships and working with one another. We will read two stories that demonstrate this theme. The students will also work with pronouns such as he, she, they and practice using them in place of names. Math: this week we focus on measurements. Through some fun hands on exploration, the students will learn to compare lengths with cubes and clips. The students will practice using words such as long and short, longer, longest, shorter, shortest. We will have an assessment at the end of the week to wrap this unit. Religion: This week we look at everything God has made and learn his love for all the things he created including us! We will hear a few readings that express God's everlasting love and his longing for us to love him too. We will have an assessment on this lesson Friday. Please remember to check the snack calendar and if you've accidentally missed your day, go ahead and bring a snack in and we'll save it for another day! Lastly, our school auction is around the corner and this year the student created pieces will be available for purchase before the actual auction. Please see below for information on how to go about purchasing your child's auction art piece.
