Welcome back to our final week before Easter break.
Reading - We wrap up Unit 5 with a test Monday., then we'll then begin our next Unit. The theme this week is trying your best. We'll hear the stories Curious George Makes Pancakes and Kitten's First Full Moon. Our new high frequency words include: do, went, just, little, only down. The sound we will be practicing is /u/. Spelling words for the week will practice making words plural as well as the long e sound spelled as y. The words will be cups, rubs, foxes, dishes, only, many, very, baby. The students have done such a great job with their words and have been pretty excited to find the spelling patterns in other words found in books. Keep up the great practice! Math - We will wrap up our practice with addition and subtraction with some fun Easter themed centers this week. Religion - As we near Holy Week week next week we will keep our focus on the Jesus. The students will be able to identify the final events leading up to Jesus' death; Palm Sunday, The Last Supper, and His Resurrection. A few reminders for our week:
