Welcome back! I hope you had a great spring break filled with lots of fun and family time! Can you believe we are in the final stretch?! One final month of kindergarten for our K2 kiddos... where has this year gone??
Here is a glimpse at our week: Reading: Our unit is all about asking for help when we need it. The sight words for this week are look, saw, very, put, out. Our sounds to practice are /z/ and /v/. We continue to build words and replace beginning, ending and medial sounds. Lastly the students have been working with subject-verb agreement prior to break and we will build on that grammar component further this week Math: The students will be learning about weight a well as volume. We will get to play with balance scales and compare various items. Vocabulary such as heavier, equal, lighter, etc will be used to determine relationship with two items. The assessment on this chapter will be on Friday. Religion: This week's lesson is about how after death there is life. We will talk about Jesus' resurrection and how his sacrifice is a special gift to us. Jesus gives us new life! An email with the questions for this chapter's assessment will go out on Wednesday and our assessment will be on Friday. Science: In building on our religion theme, new life, we will talk about the life cycle of a butterfly. We are sure to have a fun week....hope you have a good week too! Mrs. Zander
