I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend and beautiful Mother's day. This week is an exciting week for our kindergartners. We will be hosting courtyard prayers and mass this week. Wednesday's mass welcomes future kindergartners and their families. We hope you can make it to any of the courtyard prayers or mass and help support them! We are down two our final two weeks!! This Friday is a surprise for the kiddos. It's pajama day but we will also have a special guest, Mother Goose! The following week we'll have our end of the year party on Thursday at 1:30. Please feel free to join us as we say goodbye. Here is a signup genius from our room mom's. Kindergarten Party If you are able to help out with a few items for our ice cream party, we'd appreciate it! Our last day of school is Friday, May 25. We will attend 8:30am mass as a school and then the students are free to go and start their summer break!! This week we are busy wrapping up various lessons. Literacy: We will review the final 24 sight words as well as all the sounds. Our centers this week will be filled with reading, decoding, counting syllables and building words. In Grammar will be working with prepositions and recognizing them in sentences. Math: Last week we were introduced to coins. This week we focus on their worth and identify their names. We'll be spending time in math centers "purchasing" items in the classroom using our addition and subtraction abilities. Religion: With the end of the Easter season upon us and Pentecost around the corner, the students will learn about Jesus' mission on earth, the holy spirit, and the importance of this important day in our church.
