About Me
My name is Jenny Zander and I'm one of the kindergarten teachers here at Saint John XXIII Catholic School.
I have been in education for over 15 years. Having received my degree in special education at University of Arizona, I started out working with deaf children as an educational American Sign Language Interpreter. Since then I have taught high school through preschool and found my calling to be in early childhood education. I enjoy sharing my love of American Sign Language with the kindergartners and we find moments throughout the year to share some signs with you too!
I feel truly blessed to be part of the Saint John XXIII community and to be your child's teacher. Not only am a product of 12 years of catholic education, but my children both attend Saint John XXIII and my husband is a Catholic school educator at Brophy College Prep. I love that I am able to help create a strong academic foundation and guide each child to live out what Jesus calls us to do, love one another! I look forward to working with you to provide your little one with a successful start to their academic career; one that is grounded in faith, filled with joys, friendships, and much academic growth.
A little about me... I am originally from Seattle, Washington. My husband and two boys moved here four years ago in search of the sun and drier climate. When I'm not in the classroom I enjoy hiking, cooking, gardening, and movie nights with my family.
Here’s to a wonderful 2018-19 school year!
