Lastly, I hope you all had a great weekend! A few reminders: 1. There are no enrichment classes this week, February 13-17. This week you may register for the third and final session of enrichment classes that will begin on February 21st. Please see the school website to sign up. 2. Our Valentine's Party is Tuesday! We have 20 kiddos, so if your child would like to bring Valentine's please send enough for the whole class. We'd love to see you at the party too. Feel free to stop by as long as your safe environment training is up to date. On to our curriculum. Literacy: This week we will read books focusing on discovery. There are no new sight words this week, so our time will be spent reviewing all 40 words that we've had so far. The children will continue to build words blend and decode sounds and we will wrap up the literacy unit this week with our assessment. Math: The children have been catching on quickly to our new skill in math, and this week we will keep practicing our early addition and equations but using 10 frames instead. We will follow up with an assessment at the end of the week! Religion: We will wrap up our discussion on Faith and Trust. We then move into learning about how Jesus comes first in our lives, and how we can live out our lives as he asks us to do. February is dental awareness month and the kindergartens will have a special speaker this Thursday to learn more about the importance of dental hygiene. Lastly, our class welcomed back Mrs. Keith back! She will be with us Mondays- Thursdays while Mrs. Frisacaro is helping cover another teacher who's away on maternity leave! This will be a busy and very fun week!
