Week 24

Happy Catholics Schools! We will be celebrating all week long. Below is a brief recap of all the details for the week. Please check your email for the complete description of each day's events. 
Monday: Free dress day for students who wore their uniform to mass
Tuesday: Crazy sock day 
Wednesday: Red, white, and blue accessory day
Thursday Crazy tie day and volunteer breakfast (parents please join us!)
Friday: Field day - wear your  tie-dye shirt! 


Reading: Our focus this week is nature. Our stories include, It is the Wind and From Caterpillar to Butterfly. Our sound this week is /g/ and our new sight words are find, from, on, but, this, came. The students will also be introduced to proper nouns and practice capitalizing them in their writing. 
Math: The students will be assessed on the past three chapters this week Then will jump into early concepts of addition. We will practice making ten through various hands on strategies to better grasp this new concept.
Religion: This week's lesson is about the 12 Apostles. We will hear the story of Jesus asking his disciples to follow Him and be fishers of men. We will learn about each of the 12 Apostles over the course of the week, learn a fun song to help us remember their names and make a fun craft. Each student will need to bring one 12 count egg carton by next Monday. Thanks in advance!
